Ismael Sentíes

Ismael Sentíes presents a series of paintings developed from the intimate and prolonged experience within the qualities of a personal remembrance site for the artist. Silencio de raíz exhibits the object of the painting of Sentíes as a phenomenon of mutability regenerated from the representation of the landscape, which show, precisely, qualities of an intransigence of constant repetition on scenarios that are modified according to the appreciation of the artist.

Reconstructing the object through painting in the work of Ismael Sentíes doesn’t become a simplicistic exercise, rather it originates from the thematic mimesis of mutability, which becomes through the interiorization of the artist himself and the excavation of an place inhabited by memories that are sheltered between stems, leaves and roots.
