Deli Gallery presents its inaugural exhibition Hic Sunt Dracones.
Regarding the body, everything gravitates around the concepts of the inside and the outside. In this case, the body becomes judge and party, translator, host, hostage and jailer, object and subject. It is in this relational game between being and nothingness, that the body is membrane and region. Membrane that separates and discriminates what remains out there, outside, very, very outside, in that inhospitable place that happens right where our last layer of skin ends, sometimes called ‘reality'. The rest, what remains inside, sometimes pure filth , but that (luckily) in almost all cases, there remains an incorruptible core, where the psyche swallows and digests all those processes and dialogues that exist between the complete outside and the immeasurable inside.
This exhibition celebrates, denounces and encourages the potential of the body as an actor, instrument and translator to help us understand that what we think as an absolute outside is only the continuation of our own bare hands.
