Gibran Acosta presents his solo show: Pira.

What do we understand as a territory? A piece of land, a surface, our own body, spaces conceived in our imagination? This exhibition comes as a result of experimental exploration on sculptural media, from an ongoing investigation that involves the theorization of cultural processes. Built from the use of hard data, official records and academic literature, a space of fragmented contemplation is configured, derived from a compendium of gestures that raises many ways to conceive the territory. In an effort to translate its virtual, physical, psychic and dreamlike dimension as a ritual of conjuring faith in Western thought and through the cosmotechnical nature of objects; when we draw something, are we invoking it?
