El Arenero presents the Management workshop for artistic projects via zoom taught by Andrea Núñez.

Andrea Núñez Gamboa has a degree in Cultural Studies and Management from the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana with a specialization in Cultural Policies from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and a master's degree in Art Administration from Columbia University in New York with the support of the Jumex Contemporary Art Foundation, Fulbright-Gacia Robles and FONCA-CONACYT.

Her work in art management focuses on institutional development and fundraising for various organizations. Of which she has collaborated with Art21, Contemporary Art Partners LLC and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. She has also worked as Coordinator of the summer program of SOMA Mexico, Strategic Alliances of the Museum of Modern Art and Coordinator of fundraising and sponsorships for Documental Ambulante.

She currently collaborates as Finance Manager for Tanya Leighton Gallery in Los Angeles and Berlin.

Session 1

BUDGETS

In this session they will review different types of budgets for artistic and cultural projects that can help monitor activities. We will see how to make requests for funds and projections. In this session, participants are required to work out a budget of their choice as an example.

Budget structure: costs, expenses, self-generated and contributed income.

Session 2

FINANCES FOR PROJECTS

In this session we will review the financial statements of an organization and the use of indicators that will help us better understand the state of a project or organization.

Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, financial ratios.

Session 3

SPONSORSHIP FOLDER

For this session we will review the different strategies for putting together a sponsorship folder. For this we will analyze the essential parts when presenting a project. For this session, participants are required to submit a portfolio of their choice as an example.

Session 4

REQUESTS FOR CALLS

In this application we will talk about good practices for requesting funds. We will also review different types of calls.
