What about the other side of time? is the question that the Second Edition of FRANZISKA Encuentro de Imagen en Movimiento will work to investigate what a counter-history of the hegemonic would look like.
5 women will represent Brazil, the guest country of this edition, which will be presented in hybrid form. This year the second edition of FRANZISKA Encuentro de Imagen en Movimiento will take place, where more than 60 women dedicated to contemporary audiovisual creation will question the modes of production, distribution and consumption of the moving image. Te new edition of this international meeting, which will take place from September 24 to October 9, will be presented in a hybrid version with a physical exhibition at Estudio Marte 221 and virtual activities that you can view from social networks and the site Lolita Pank's website. In this year's call, 26 projects were chosen that will dialogue from the question What is there on the other side of time? , where it seeks to refect from a counterhistory against the normative discourses that have permeated the way of understanding gender, sexuality, art, image or technology. The exhibition will be divided under the curatorial axes: New Era, Erotica, Lipsync and Imaginary. Te guest country this year is Brazil, so it will be attended by the DJ, performer Maldita Geni Talia, the flm editor Karen Akerman & Miguel Seabra, Lía Leticia, Celina Portella and Laura Erber. As a national guest project, the collective FEMINASTY will participate, who will present 13 projects created by women in a video cycle. In the first edition, Argentina was the invited country and more than 40 artists from six different countries participated, they had two projection cycles at the Digital Culture Center and an exhibition at Biquini Wax. FRANZISKA Encuentro de Imagen en Movimiento, an initiative directed, managed and produced by Alma Camelia, Cecil Bolaños and Alejandra Zamora, was created in 2019 by Lolita Pank, a platform that connects, promotes and exhibits creative projects made mainly by women.
