15 years after its founding, Le Laboratoire's gallery has just moved into a new space in Colonia San Miguel Chapultepec in Mexico City, located in the recently inaugurated Creative Hub G.56, designed by the C Cubica.

On the occasion of the anniversary celebrations, Ethos opens, a collective exhibition that brings together all the artists currently represented: Georgina Bringas, Tomás Casademunt, Julien Devaux, Fernando Garcia Correa, Gabriela Gutiérrez Ovalle, Alois Kronschlaeger, Ilán Lieberman, Alejandro Magallanes, César Martinez Silva, Mario Núñez, Luis Felipe Ortega, Manuel Rocha Iturbide, Maria José Romero, Enrique Rosas and Roberto Turnbull. 

Open and inclusive platform, experiential and interstitial incubator, Le Laboratoire aspires to strengthen its program focused and contextualized on the aesthetic-discursive practices of its artists, which encompass and confront a diverse spectrum of disciplines: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance , sound art, etc. The gallery has a vocation to work empathetically in the long term with the artists it represents and trigger resonances between their corpus of work, participatory components of the structural (diagrams, patterns) and perceptual (modular fields, visual reiterations) formalisms of their praxis. abstractionist.

Ethos is an exercise that symbolizes, in essence, a mirror of the gallery's work for the past 15 years: a plural, fragmented, changing, constantly expanding exhibition that allows us to (dis)articulate a laboratory in constant search for connections and interactions between artists and their works. We wanted to review and re-stage the initial precepts of the project. Active agents, the "open works" (concept theorized by Umberto Eco), are inserted in exchange spaces, becoming a tenant environment, a discussion platform that encourages projecting a co-presence through a story: a playing field of the (im)possible.
