Endy Hupperich

Rien ne va plus avec muse

In its main room, Galería Karen Huber presents Rien ne va plus avec muse, German artist Endy Hupperich's second solo exhibition at the gallery, who presents a new body of work full of humor and self-references. Using as a starting point the expression "Rien ne va plus" often heard in casinos (which could be translated as “no more” and originally means that the bets are hold), the exhibition establishes a symbolic relation between the creation game - with and against the artworks - and the game of fortune, winking at the possible addictions that result from such practices and knowing when to say “no more”. Within Hupperich paintings tensions coexist between the romantic idea of the last brushstroke and Dadaist influences in the manner of collage, presenting reproduction processes and satirical content. In this playful spirit, appear the figure of the amorous relationship and the reciprocal creative influences that it generates. The exhibition becomes like a race, a dialogue, a roulette where the tactics of both the works and the artist himself move and compete.

In its proyect room, the gallery presents a group show with works by Marc Breslin, Merike Estna, Luis Hampshire, Héctor Madera y Keke Vilabelda.
