El ojo desarmado

Centro Cultural de España en México invites you their next exhibition "El ojo desarmado" curaded by Nerea Ubieto with artists Cristina Lucas, Valeria Andrade, Olalla G. Valdericeda, Núria Güel, Regina José Galindo, David Martín Castaño, Marta Pujades, Arantxa Boyero y Shoja Azari.

The exhibition El ojo desarmado brings together the work of artists from diverse latitudes and sociocultural contexts who reflect on the many ways in which the patriarchal system manifests itself in everyday life, in bodies, and in visual representation. Through various artistic media—photography, video, installation, and performance—the works seek to dismantle the gaze constructed by hegemonic structures and open the way for new forms of perception and resistance.

The objective was to create a space for critical reflection on the structural and symbolic forms of violence that persist in our societies, highlighting the role of art as a tool for cultural and social transformation.
