El hormiguero

The Ant Project presents the group show El hormiguero in Laguna. Curated by Guadalupe García and Sofía Sánchez Borboa, with works by Ana Biolchini, Andrea Bores, Hovey Brock, Luján Candria, Alberto Castro Leñero, Mary Paz Cervera, Douglas Degges, Mitzi Falcon, Ana Teresa Fernández, Alexandra Hammond, Karla Kantorovich, Sneha Krishnan, Carina Mask, Yanira López, Edison Peñafiel, Cecilia Quintana, Ronald Rael, Kara Rooney, Laura Villarreal and Deniz Yurtbay.

El hormiguero (the anthill), built by the paths forged by the individuals of the colony, symbolizes the essence of every collaboration within our projects. The diverse interests of each participant in The Ant Project lead us to explore uncharted paths, gradually expanding the avenues for the rest of the community.

The Ant Project operates in three main fields: collaborations with other institutions, art fairs, and residencies. All of these focus on horizontal interconnection, individual development, and collective interaction. The artists participating in this exhibition have been part of these projects and bringing their works into conversation provides the richness of a diverse and international collective interconnected for the first time in the same space.
