Memories sprout from the futures, it is a theory and writing workshop for collective recognition around the possibility of imagining in a present-future where the capitalist and colonial drive hinders any exercise of sovereignty. Based on the tools offered by the visionary fiction articulated by the writers Walidah Imarisha and Adrienne Maree Brown, in tension with the proposal of the Redes Comunales Mixes, in this workshop, we will imagine experiences of transformation around the failures of the cultural system that we know as "contemporary art".
This exercise follows the ideas of Octavia Butler, Walidah Imarisha, Adrienne Maree Brown, Redes Comunales Mixes, Duen Sacchi, Val Flores, Yuderkys Espinoza-Miñoso, Manuel Arturo Abreu, Hito Steyerl, Bell Hooks, among others.
