Danielle Firoozi

Danielle Firoozi is using her time at Casa Lü to develop Ship's Mercy, a three part aquatic opera set in abandoned water sites in Mexico City. Casa Lü's empty pool and verdant patio provide an ideal arena for a teaser of the larger show. Tonight's performance activates Danielle's principle aesthetic occupations--drag kings, vertical structures like ladders, busts, and aircrete. “El Prólogo” is an opportunity to explore these elements with a live audience.
