Creative embroidery workshop

Lugar Usual offers the Creative Embroidery Workshop taught by Antonia Alarcón.

Embroidery is a versatile, political and fun, personal form of expression. In this workshop, the ways and ideas that can be expressed through sewing will be addressed.

This workshop lasts a month, so the goal is not for them to learn a perfect technique or the exact way to apply the stitches: rather it is a space where we will learn to explore embroidery and tools so that everyone finds their methods and interests. in this medium.

The sessions will be both practical and theoretical, so some stitches and ways of playing with the thread will be learned, as well as the history and methods that have been used in this textile medium.

No previous knowledge is needed for this workshop, since each person will explore her own methods.

Through group work, we learn and nurture community knowledge.
