The program for the third edition of Siempre Sí kicks off on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 PM with a public talk titled “Art and Design in Mexico: A Romance with Craftsmanship,” featuring five experts from the creative community:

  • Ana Castella, independent curator, Director of Salón ACME, and founder of QUEMA, a collaboration with artists to create ceramic plates.
  • Fernando Gutiérrez Gama, stone carver and sculptor based in Mexico City. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Jorge Yázpik, Gabriel Orozco, Frida Escobedo, and Héctor Esrawe.
  • Cecilia León de la Barra, industrial designer, independent curator, artistic director of ZⓢONAMACO Design, and director of the Industrial Design program at Centro University.
  • Lucía R, visual and sound artist, researcher. Curator of Murmuro, a festival of sound art and listening, and founder of Corpoareas, an intersensory experimentation project.
  • Lucía Soto, industrial designer and co-founder of the interior design and furniture studio Comité de Proyectos.

Moderated by Luis Arredondo, industrial designer, co-founder, and Creative Director of the firm Taller Nacional.

Whether in its exhibition, its talk, or during its grand celebration, Siempre Sí creates a space that brings the public closer to local art and design, through accessible, horizontal, and plural dialogues.
