The Light of Earendil, Our Most Beloved Star is Christian Camacho’s latest exhibition at Galería de Arte Mexicano. While its title immediately echoes J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous literary saga, The Lord of the Rings, this exhibition places the Phial of Galadriel—the bottled light of a star—within a network of objects, characters, and landscapes that invoke the sometimes schizophrenic urge to paint everything we care about as if it were somehow compatible.
