The Frida Kahlo Museum and the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum are organizing a special activity, the Walk from Frida's Garden to Diego's Pedregal, to celebrate World Museum Day 2023.

The participants of the tour will carry out an exercise of observation and sensitive reflection on the relationship of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera with nature, guided by the artist Mónica Neponte, sharing stories and anecdotes upon arriving at the Anahuacalli Museum.

International Museum Day 2023 has as its central theme Museums, sustainability and well-being, highlighting the fundamental role of museums in promoting well-being and sustainable development in our communities.

This year, the Casa Azul and the Anahuacalli joining the ICOM (International Council of Museums) proposal to enhance the transformative power that museums have for sustainable development and well-being.

This unique experience, aimed at people over 18 years of age, proposes a tour between both museums, during which participants will carry out an exercise of observation and sensitive reflection on the relationship of these two great artists with nature and the evolution of our around. The tour begins at the Casa Azul with an explanation of the artist's relationship with her Garden and how it was the inspiration for the realization of many of her works that she even painted in that magnificent space, later there will be a guided walk by Mónica Neponte to arrive at the Anahuacalli Museum, where attendees will be able to reflect on these changes in the scree of the Ecological Space, sharing stories and anecdotes.
