Mooni presents the exhibition Banana Blue by Bolsas Bolsón which opening event will happen on Saturday February 10 from de 2 to 7pm.
Can you imagine seeing fruits where others only see waste? During the Art Week, Mooni transforms into a microcosm of Banana Blue to present a unique exhibition that challenges our perception of plastic.
Artist Norberto Miranda finds inspiration for his project "Bolsón" in the coastal town of Cihuatlán, Jalisco, where banana crops are protected from the cold by covering the clusters with low-density blue plastic.
Seeking to reassign meaning to this waste and propose a different relationship with this omnipresent but often misunderstood and discarded material, Bolsón transforms the useless into pieces of art and utilitarian objects of aesthetic value, with the prevalence of the color blue.
"Banana Blue" is a dialogue between nature, art, and sustainability. Each piece exhibited at Mooni tells a story of transformation and resilience, inviting us to question whether the problem is only plastic or how we perceive it.
"Expiration is a construct of perspective, and it is our way of seeing things that limits the lifespan of an object or material."
At Mooni, we believe that beauty and art can emerge from the most unexpected places. "Banana Blue" not only showcases the creative reuse of materials but also invites visitors to reflect on the life cycle of the objects around us and how we can contribute to a more sustainable world.
