Barbarisms: a collective exhibition based on the eponymous poem by Ricardo Limassol that brings together the work of thirteen artists in an intergenerational visual dialogue around decadence, ruin, language and dystopia: subjective worlds that coexist within the superstructure.
Taking as a pretext –or provocation– a 2012 poem written by Ricardo Limassol, the work of Gina Arizpe, Yolanda Benalba, Andrea Ferrero, Cristian Franco, Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola, Julián Madero Islas, Theo Michael, Raquel Moreno, Erin M. Riley, Adriana Salazar, April Salgado, Erick Saucedo and Sergio de la Torre, is exhibited.
Barbarisms is a curatorial proposal by fernanda ramos mena and Joaquín Segura for Pequod Co.
