Tanta piedrita me asfixia
Exhibition
-> Nov 22 – Feb 14
Tanta piedrita me asfixia invites us to rethink the relationship between heritage and those who inherit it. Through the critical study of precolonial objects —marked by histories of looting and displacement— Aurora Noreña connects these materialities with contemporary crafts such as weaving, woodworking, and upholstery, creating works that unfold, blend, and reconfigure past and present. In this exhibition, stone ceases to be a relic and becomes a living bridge between geographies, peoples, and memories. Her work converses with archival interventions, choreographic actions, and critical voices that expand the pathways for interpretation. An invitation to reconnect with what history once separated.
