Alan Balthazar

Salón Silicón presents Lust block outs the light, the first solo show by Alan Balthazar (1988-2017), with a selection of photos taken in 35mm that openly explore homoeroticism and the male body.

Alan Balthazar pushed his creative and aesthetic experiments to the limit. He had an incessant need to explore the medium of photography itself, its materials and techniques. By altering flashes and overexposing shots over and over again, Alan blurred the lines between frame, light, shadow and body, creating chromatic horizons and new corporeal representations, releasing sensations towards a desire, that's thicker and deeper than the light guarding it.
