Alain Urrutia

Saenger Galería and Casa Siza organize an Open House: Drinks & Pizza in the framework of the exhibition Piedritas bajo la almohada by Alain Urrutia.

From a residency he did during the summer of this same year in Mexico, Alain Urrutia (Bilbao, 1981) has developed an unpublished body of work in which he continues to employ his characteristic pictorial style and format, mostly small-scale and achromatic; as well as his particular choice to abstract images coming from a reality that hybridizes the digital and the analog in a permanently voracious and unstable state. And although his pace of work and analysis is fast and exhausting, the brevity of his works appeals to an intermittent state of contemplation and introspection.
