A Flower for our Inner Child

KOIK contemporary presents A Flower for our Inner Child, an immersive group exhibition and thematic exploration of the many complexities of the black and brown experience.

Through the iconography of African and Latin American culture, this exhibit explores the vulnerability of one’s inner child while attempting to preserve its innocence through a variety of mediums and contemporary forms of expression. This exhibition will feature a number of art practitioners throughout the black and Latino diaspora. This is an exhibition showcasing an international and cross-city partnership from Mexico City to Cincinnati, Ohio with the intentionality of providing an artistic offering that serves as a healing modality for everyone involved.
