Museum
The Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil was founded in 1974 to house the modern Mexican art collection assembled by physician Álvar Carrillo Gil and his wife Carmen Tejero, featuring key works by Orozco, Rivera, and Siqueiros. Designed by architects Augusto H. Álvarez and Enrique Carral, the building stands out for its modernist architecture, interior ramps, and natural overhead lighting. Over time, the collection has expanded to include contemporary works, making the museum a space where modern art intersects with experimental and current artistic practices.
