LAAA

LAAA (Laboratorio de Arte, Arquitectura y Arqueología) focuses on both the production of works with contemporary artists and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage. By merging new technologies and traditional craftsmanship LAAA develops physical and digital tools to achieve each project's vision.

Francisco Regalado founded the laboratory in Mexico City, after having worked at Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin and Factum Arte in Madrid, where he developed and produced artworks for artists such as Marina Abramovic, Anish Kapoor, Sarah Sze, amongst others. He was also involved in cultural heritage preservation projects such as the recreation of Al-Idrisi's lost map, the reconstruction of two Lamassu for the University of Mosul and the facsimile of the cave of Risco Caído in Gran Canaria.
