Colegio de San Ildefonso

The Colegio de San Ildefonso is one of the most important cultural spaces in Mexico, recognized because it is considered that the Mexican mural movement began on its walls. There we find works by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and José Clemente Orozco, among others.

Its vocation has always been educational, first as a Jesuit school from the 16th century, then as the National Preparatory School, from 1867 to 1910, and from that year as part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico until 1980.

As of March 1994, the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso is a permanent project, a cultural center.

Price: $50 pesos from Wednesday to Saturday. Free entance on Sunday.
