Steph Orozco

Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima presents the work of Steph Orozco: La línea de fuego, a project within the new cycle of exhibitions, Adherir a la idea.

The installation addresses the recurring themes in my work: overproduction, reuse, the time of confection in an artisan workshop vs. a production line, the search for silhouettes outside a specific body, the deconstruction of the language of dissemination and marketing of fashion, alternatives to approach new ways of dressing, reflection on our appearances, collective languages and the experience of living what we wear. The stage recreates or interprets the nomadic installations of the tianguis, of the “informal” trade where the clothes unfold according to the shape of the space, the absence of a body or a tridimension allows whoever is attracted by the silhouette of the garment to try it on himself. A lively, public and experimental dynamic.
