Cecil Covarrubias presents his first solo exhibition in Monterrey with En mis cajas ya no caben, hosted by Espacio Impermanente, in collaboration with MADE. This exhibition is articulated from an overflowing archive that activates the possibility of a disordered story about time, constructed memory and the impossibility of completely containing that which one tries to preserve. Here, the image functions as a living body that transforms, corrupts and refuses to disappear. Through the encounter with the sheet and an unconventional understanding of the book as an artifact, she proposes a series of mechanisms that record and sustain an unstable space, functioning as expanded objects that overflow their own limits, refusing to remain still.
