Espacio Impermanente and MADE present the exhibition by Andrea Sánchez Córdova: Yo soy la muchacha alegre del cielo favorecida, as part of the project Salón 4307.

The tradition of the corrido -that conjecture of forms that tell stories of revolutionary bandits to the loss of a love in times of digitality- feeds that force that exists within my body. In its musicality and lyrics I find the reflection of my story, the presence of my own dreams through lives that are not my own, a rhythm that asks me to accelerate in time, desires that ask to manifest themselves in the world of phenomena.

Yo soy la muchacha alegre del cielo favorecida tells the story of a young and sad woman who found in the songs of regional Mexican music a space for the manifestation of her sadness, desires and joys. In these pieces, through painting, video, the intervention of objects and the composition of a corrido about the life of an artist, a dialogue is opened on the role of music in the construction of visual identities. This series of pieces poses an honest perspective on the way we relate to those songs that stay with us and the world we create around them.
