The undedorgs: Educational Lab

Within the framework of the closing of the exhibition Los de abajo by the artist Mark Bradford, an exhibition that brings together the work of the resident artists of the Educational Laboratory is presented in an ephemeral way, an artistic residency program was carried out prior to the inauguration of the same.

The laboratory was carried out with the objective of fostering the development of thirty young artists from diverse disciplines and contexts, providing an opportunity to promote the exchange of ideas with Mark Bradford, an artist who has witnessed first-hand how access to resources educational and social impacts on communities. During the program, spaces for meeting, collaboration, and learning were set up through portfolio reviews, meals, mentoring, and conversations that delved into key issues of art and life. Throughout the exhibition, resident artists actively participated in workshops and guided tours, sharing the experiences, conversations, processes, and affects that layer upon layer were built into the site-specific mural El hombre de fuego (2023 ).

The Educational Laboratory was developed in collaboration with the Hauser & Wirth gallery.
