-Opening conference: “40 years of Polvo de Gallina Negra. Feminist art in Mexico” with the artist Mónica Mayer. Saturday March 11, 12 noon. Cinema Cabins.
-Activation of El Tendedero Participatory work by the artist Mónica Mayer. In 1978 Mónica Mayer invited 800 women to complete the sentence: “As a woman, what I dislike most about the city is…” on pieces of pink paper. Each of the responses was mounted on a structure that alluded to a clothesline, as a reference to a daily activity that is considered feminine, to open a dialogue about the violence that women experience in the public space. This piece was presented for the first time in a collective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City in the same year. This work, which proposes a collective work in a multidisciplinary field, has had several revivals at different times and opens a reflective dialogue between the personal and the social. Now it comes to the Cabañas Museum with the exhibition Polvo de Gallina Negra. 40 years of feminist art in Mexico. It will be activated in Plaza Tapatía and in the area surrounding the Cabañas museum. Check the exact activation points on social networks. From March 6 to 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-Inaugural mediation program of the exhibition 40 years of Polvo de Gallina Negra. Feminist art in Mexico on Saturday, March 11
